The annual Manistee Recreation Association Zombie Race is open for registration! Join us for the October 31st, 5K run/walk at the First Street Beach ---- starts by the dog park. Start time is 3:30 pm and cost is $15 (late registration fee is an extra $5 after 9/26).
Costumes are encouraged to make the event even more fun!

If your child is part of the Youth Swim Team, they cannot participate in MRA Swim Lessons unless you have instructor approval. We are trying to allow more children to participate who have no/little swimming experience.
Falling For Fitness 2026
Falling for Fitness is a 6-week fitness/running program offered to students in 3rd - 5th grade. Starting Wednesday, September 16th participants will meet Wednesdays and Fridays right after school at Manistee Elementary School, Sands Park for a session of cooperative games, stretching/yoga, and running. Practice will end at 4:30pm. At the end of the 6 weeks, on October 31st there will be a celebration 5K run/walk.
Participants should show up to practice ready to workout, dressed appropriately in active wear and running shoes. Pack layers, as they will be outside. If they wish to have a snack before practice begins, please be sure to pack one, as it will not be provided. Participants also will need to bring a water bottle.
Upon signing up, it is understood that participants will engage in all activities and attendance is extremely important. Coaches may dismiss a student that has more than 3 unexcused absences.
Registration opens 8/19/26 and closes 9/9/2026.
